In-Person Certification at Pilates Barre Lex

Beginning in September 2026, Pilates Barre Lex will offer a Mat & Reformer 300-hour Certification Program through EYT, delivered as an in-person Pilates teacher training in Lexington, Kentucky. This program is designed for individuals seeking a strong foundation in classical Pilates, combined with practical, hands-on teaching experience.

Upon completion and Certification of the Mat and Reformer training components, students will have the opportunity to continue into the comprehensive certification pathway. This is a nationally and internationally recognized program, preparing graduates for a professional career in Pilates instruction.

Whether you’re starting a new career in the wellness industry, expanding your movement education, or elevating your personal Pilates practice, this training provides the structure, mentorship, and real-world application needed to succeed.

A Deeper Pilates Education

Pilates is more than exercise—it’s a method rooted in precision, control, and intentional movement.

This training program is designed to help you confidently teach Pilates through a deep understanding of both theory and practice. You will learn how to:

  • Understand the principles of classical Pilates

  • Teach the Pilates repertoire with clarity and confidence

  • Apply anatomy and biomechanics to movement

  • Modify exercises for injuries and individual needs

  • Develop effective cueing and communication skills

  • Design thoughtful, well-balanced Pilates sessions

The focus is not just on learning exercises—but understanding how and why they work.

In-Person Training & Hands-On Experience

A key advantage of this program is its emphasis on in-person learning.

Starting in September 2026, trainees will attend structured seminars at Pilates Barre Lex. These sessions provide:

  • Direct instruction from Pilates Barre Lex Owner and Lead Trainer, Hannah Merideth

  • Hands-on practice with Pilates equipment

  • Workshops and class planning

  • Real-time feedback and coaching

  • Collaborative learning with peers

  • Practice Sessions to put learned skills to use

Unlike fully online programs, this training prioritizes observation, practice, and guided teaching in a studio setting—helping you build confidence from day one.

Ongoing mentorship, observation hours, and practice teaching (all included in the program) are integrated throughout to support your growth every step of the way all at PBL.

Rooted in Classical Pilates, Informed by Modern Movement

This program honors the classical Pilates method while incorporating modern understanding of anatomy and movement science.

You’ll graduate with a well-rounded education that prepares you to work with a wide range of clients safely and effectively.

By the end of the training, you will have a strong understanding of:

  • The full classical Pilates system

  • Movement mechanics and alignment principles

  • Professional teaching techniques

  • Client-specific modifications and programming

  • Class planning knowledge

A Supportive, Mentorship-Driven Environment

Pilates Barre Lex offers a boutique training environment focused on individualized support.

You won’t get lost in a large cohort—instead, you’ll receive:

  • Personalized guidance
